WHO WE ARE:

The Brains and the Brawn.

Friends and former colleagues Colin and Dan, trained and worked as design professionals in the software industry, where they met over a decade ago. There they discovered a shared enthusiasm for property, and a desire to apply their knowledge and creativity in the physical world as well as the virtual. Dan's hands-on approach to renovating his own family homes, and Colin's experience in customer research and business led them towards an inevitable partnership and the creation of Tillow.

Innovative ideas, attention to detail, and quick problem-solving skills are the reasons Dan thrives managing Tillow’s day-to-day operations and trade relationships. He oversees every project from start to finish.

With comprehensive knowledge of trades and extensive experience renovating numerous personal and project properties, Dan has a solid network of contacts, and developed a thorough understanding of the property transformation process, from the big picture to the finest details.

Highly practical and driven, Dan combines a designer’s critical eye with a relentless work ethic. His mission is to ensure results arrive on time, within budget, and looking absolutely stunning without compromising on flow and practicality.

(THE BRAINS)

Whilst also getting his sleeves rolled up on projects, Colin’s main focus is on Tillow’s longer term strategy. Researching upcoming opportunities, and handling the details of financing and commercial relationships.

Having spent the earlier part of his career as an information architect and researcher, Colin thrives on the underlying detail, and is constantly asking questions and modelling multiple possible outcomes.

Meticulous and knowledgeable, Colin ensures Tillow does business at the highest standards, and continues to learn and expand its operations. Protecting value for its investors, and creating peace of mind for partners and suppliers.

The Tillow commitment.

There will always be some aspects which set a Tillow renovation apart.
These are the commitments we make to ourselves, our investors, and the eventual purchasers.

ONE

Design is at the heart of what we do.

As trained designers with decades of experience and award winning work in our former professions, Dan and Colin can’t help but approach everything with a designer’s eye, it’s in our blood. That means a Tillow home will always not only be visually appealing but also function as a well designed living space.

TWO

We believe in energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency is an increasingly critical aspect of the built environment we inhabit. At Tillow we always aim to achieve the best EPC Rating we can. You can be sure the rating will be higher at the end of our project than it was when we purchased the property.

THREE

We design houses for their occupants not ourselves.

With our background designing software we know how important having a customer centric approach is. When we take on a project we’ve thoroughly researched the likely types of purchaser. Every decision we make about layout, materials and features and aesthetics considers our home’s eventual occupants, not just our own tastes and budget.
